It all started in 1971 when Jim Parkhouse founded the company in a small 2 pump Shell gas station in Bell Gardens, California. Jim’s foundational business principals were very simple – service the needs of commercial business with quality products and outstanding service, honestly and fairly and do this better than anybody else.

Jim believed that when committing to these principals along with a tenacious work ethic, good things will happen. Indeed, they have. Still family owned and operated, Parkhouse Tire has grown into one of the most trusted and highly regarded names in the commercial tire industry.

In 2021, we celebrated our 50th year of operation. Together with son Brian and grandson Cody, Jim remains very active in the business. In fact, Parkhouse Tire has grown from the 2 pump gas station to our 9 acre corporate headquarters in Bell Gardens along with 12 strategically located commercial tire centers in Southern California.

With over 100 service trucks providing service 24/7/365, Parkhouse Tire has the most comprehensive tire service capabilities available in the market. We are factory direct distributors of industry-leading brands including Bridgestone, Firestone, Michelin, BF Goodrich, Continental, General, Yokohama, Cooper, Roadmaster and others. In addition, we are proud to operate two Best-in-Class Bandag retread manufacturing plants. Our highly experienced sales team have all the tools needed to recommend best-fit application specific products to help fleets get the most value from their tire program.
